Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Completed B-Degree or equivalent in HR, Industrial/Organisational Psychology, or Labour Relations
  • Strong academic performance (top-performing students preferred)
  • Excellent English communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
  • High attention to detail and professionalism
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Advantageous:

  • Exposure to Scubed, Sage, or Neptune systems

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Trainee, you will gain experience across all areas of HR, including:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support recruitment processes: adverts, candidate screening, scheduling, reference checks
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction programmes
  • Assist with employee exits

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Assist with Employee Relations administration (meeting minutes, schedules, documentation)
  • Support audits and compliance processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data (POPIA-compliant)

Payroll & HR Administration

  • Capture and validate monthly payroll inputs (new hires, terminations, changes, overtime, leave)
  • Print and distribute payslips for Wages employees
  • Liaise with HR Specialists/Administrators as needed

Learning & Development

  • Support training coordination and administration
  • Assist with HR events and employee engagement activities (wellness days, red carpet events)

General Duties

  • Prepare HR reports for management
  • Contribute to process improvements
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned
