The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) is now accepting applications for its 2026 – 2028 Internship Programme.
This is a great opportunity for unemployed South African graduates to gain valuable government work experience while earning a monthly stipend.

About the DFFE Internship Programme
The DFFE Internship Programme is designed to provide practical training and workplace exposure in environmental and public sector fields.
Interns will gain experience aligned with national development and environmental goals, improving their employability in both government and private sectors.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
✔ Be unemployed South African youth
✔ Have NOT previously participated in a public service internship
✔ Hold a minimum 3-year qualification from a recognised higher education institution
Monthly Stipend
Successful applicants will receive:
R7,860.50 per month
This helps support graduates while they gain essential work experience.

Applicants must submit:
- A new Z83 application form
- A detailed CV with more than one reference
Important:
- Write “DFFE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME” on the Z83 form
- Include the correct reference number from the advert
