The Security Officer role has three progression levels:

Minimum Requirements

- Matric / Grade 12 certificate
- Completed Correctional Science Learnership, Basic Training, or Induction Training Course (ITC)
Experience requirements:

Rehabilitation Support
- Maintain a safe environment for rehabilitation programmes
- Support human development initiatives for offenders
