Who Should Apply?

The programme is ideal for young people passionate about electrical work who want structured training and a pathway into a skilled career.

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have one of the following:

  • NTC 3 technical qualification (Electrical Trade Theory, Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, or Heavy Current subjects) + Matric
  • Technical Matric (Grade 12 – English, Electrical Trade Theory, Mathematics, Physical Science + 1 other subject)
  • NCV 4 Electrical qualification (7 subjects)

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong passion for the electrical field
  • Must reside within the City of Cape Town
  • Valid driver’s licence (Code C1 / old Code 10 recommended)
  • Must not have qualified in any trade yet
  • Must not hold a National Senior Diploma or higher
