UNISA 2027 Applications: What You Need to Know
UNISA’s 2027 application window for the relevant undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas opened on 17 August 2026.
The stated closing date is 9 October 2026.
This means prospective students who have not yet submitted their applications should not delay. Applicants should first confirm that their preferred qualification is accepting applications and that they meet its specific admission requirements.
The general application deadline does not mean every qualification has identical admission requirements. Applicants should therefore check the information provided for the qualification they intend to study.

What to Check Before Submitting Your Application
Before submitting a UNISA application, prospective students should carefully review their information and supporting documents.
Important checks include:
1. Your qualification choice
Make sure you are applying for the qualification you actually intend to study.
2. Admission requirements
Check the minimum requirements for the specific qualification rather than assuming that the same requirements apply to every UNISA programme.
3. Academic information
Confirm that you meet any required academic criteria and school-subject requirements applicable to your chosen qualification.
4. Supporting documents
Prepare the documents required for your application and make sure the information is clear and accurate.
5. Personal details
Check your personal and contact information before submitting the application.
6. Closing date
The stated closing date is 9 October 2026.
Why Applicants Should Not Wait Until the Deadline
Submitting an application before the final day can give applicants more time to identify and correct mistakes.
It can also allow time to deal with issues such as missing supporting documents or problems encountered during the online application process.
Applying early does not guarantee admission, but it can help applicants avoid leaving important application steps until the deadline.
