Available Apprenticeships (2026)
ACHP is recruiting apprentices in the following critical technical trades:
- Electrician ×2
- Mechanical Fitter ×2
- Boilermaker ×2
- Rigger ×2
- Control & Instrumentation ×2
These apprenticeships offer structured workplace exposure, combining theoretical learning, practical training, and skills assessments.
About the ACHP Apprenticeship Programme
The ACHP Apprenticeship Programme focuses on developing scarce artisan skills needed in the energy and industrial sectors.
Apprentices will train in a live power station environment, gaining real-world experience while working toward trade competence and long-term employability.

Key Responsibilities
Successful apprentices will be expected to:
- Complete all theoretical and practical training components
- Maintain accurate logbooks, training records, and assessments
- Work safely in line with health and safety policies
- Demonstrate good communication, discipline, and teamwork
- Take ownership of performance and self-management
- Provide accurate reporting on tasks completed
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Grade 12 or N3, including:
- Pure Mathematics (minimum 50%)
- English (minimum 50%)
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and their functions
Advantageous Qualifications
The following will count in your favour:
- N4–N6 qualifications
- Computer literacy
- Previous workshop or technical experience

Applicants should demonstrate:
- Basic numeracy skills
- Good analytical ability
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective time management
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work well as a team player
