About Mpumalanga Provincial Treasury
Mpumalanga Provincial Treasury is responsible for public finance management, budgeting, expenditure control, and financial governance across the province. The department works closely with provincial departments and municipalities to ensure efficient service delivery.
Through its Graduate Internship Programme, the Treasury develops young professionals by providing real exposure to government systems, public finance operations, and administration.
About the Internship Programme 2026/27
The Mpumalanga Provincial Treasury Internship Programme runs for 24 months (2 years) and targets unemployed graduates aged 18–35 who have never participated in an internship before.
Interns will benefit from:

Internship Stipend
Successful candidates will receive:
💰 R94,326 per annum
The stipend helps cover transport, meals, and daily living expenses while gaining professional experience.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Be unemployed graduates aged 18–35
- Hold a 3-year diploma, degree, honours, or master’s qualification
- Have qualifications from a recognised and accredited institution
- Reside in Mpumalanga Province
- Never have participated in an internship before
