Researchers with a recently completed PhD have an exciting opportunity to join one of South Africa’s leading universities through the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) Green Hydrogen Economy Postdoctoral Research Fellowship 2026.

The fellowship is offered by the African Energy Leadership Centre at Wits Business School in partnership with the Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (CHIETA). It is designed for researchers who want to contribute to South Africa’s growing Green Hydrogen Economy while producing impactful academic and industry-focused research.
