The Department of Health is inviting applications for 2 Cleaner positions at Tara, H. Moross Centre.

This role is ideal for candidates with basic qualifications and cleaning experience, who are physically and mentally fit, and willing to work shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Closing Date: 17 April 2026
Salary: R138,486 – R163,131 per annum (excluding benefits)
Location: Tara, H. Moross Centre

Key Requirements

Grade 10-12 or equivalent qualification
At least 1 year of proven cleaning experience
Physically and mentally fit
Ability to lift heavy machinery and work under pressure
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and hospital cleaning procedures
Ability to work independently and in a team
Hospital experience is an advantage
Preference to EPWP trainees and administrative interns who served the Department

Clean offices, toilets, passages, waiting areas, floors, furniture, walls, doors, windows, and lockers
Perform dusting, mopping, polishing, and general household cleaning
Maintain outside areas and manage waste removal
Follow hospital health and waste management policies
Perform any delegated duties from supervisors
