Step 4: Learner Interview

You’ll be invited to a short interview. This helps SDC learn more about your background, skills, and readiness for the learnership experience. 

Step 5: Assessment Test

All applicants must write an assessment test. To move forward, you must score at least 80% — this ensures you’re prepared for both the classroom and workplace learning ahead. 

Step 6: Validated Applicant Database

If you pass all previous steps, SDC will validate your application by reviewing your documents, interview notes, and assessment results. Once validated, your name enters the applicant database.

From here, you wait until you’re matched to a specific learnership based on employer demand. 

Step 7: Learnership Enrolment

Once you’re selected for a learnership, SDC will invite you to the campus to:

  • Sign your learnership contract
  • Begin training and workplace learning
