Who Can Apply? (Minimum Requirements)
Minimum Qualification
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12, plus
- NQF Level 6 qualification or higher (Diploma or Degree) in Agriculture or related fields, recognised by SAQA
Priority Conditions (Important)
- Preference is given to Limpopo-based unemployed graduates
- Applicants must be first-time participants in a government internship or developmental programme
- Applicants who previously participated in a government internship with a PERSAL number for 12 months or more will be disqualified

- 50–55% women
- 80% youth (18–35 years)
- 20% graduates aged 36–40
- 3% persons with disabilities

- Private studies are not allowed during the programme
- Willingness to work abnormal hours is required

Duties & Practical Exposure
This is hands-on agricultural work, not office-based training. Interns may be exposed to:
- Farm management support
- Crop scouting and monitoring
- Livestock disease control
- Dipping and dosing of animals
- Livestock identification
- Spraying operations
- Record keeping and reporting
- Packaging, loading and off-loading produce
- Marketing of agricultural products
- Identifying new markets
- Supervising workers
- Assisting with farm and production plans
