The South African State Theatre is inviting unemployed South African graduates to apply for its 2026 Internship Programme.
This 12-month programme offers practical exposure in media, production, and performing arts, along with a monthly stipend of R6,270, making it an excellent launchpad for creative careers.
Available Internship Positions
1. Graphic Designer Internship ×1
- Department: SAST TV
- Reports To: Associate Producer
- Duration: 12 months
- Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Graphic Design or related field
- 0–1 year relevant experience
- Portfolio (PDF or link)
2. Producer Internship ×1
- Department: SAST TV
- Reports To: Associate Producer
- Duration: 12 months
- Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Media, Film & TV Production, Performing Arts, Theatre Production, Communication, or Journalism
- 0–1 year relevant experience
3. Sound Technician Internship ×1
- Department: Stages
- Reports To: Senior Production Manager
- Duration: 12 months
- Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Sound or related field
- 0–2 years relevant experience
4. Videographer Internship ×2
- Department: Stages
- Reports To: Senior Production Manager
- Duration: 12 months
- Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Film and Television or equivalent
- 0–2 years relevant experience
Minimum Requirements (All Positions)
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in a relevant field
- 0–2 years relevant experience
