Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- ABET Level 4, Grade 10, Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification
- At least one year of cleaning experience in a hospital or clinical environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read and write
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
- Physical strength to perform cleaning duties
- Ability to work well in a team

Cleaner Duties
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Cleaning floors, walls and high-touch surfaces
- Dusting furniture, beds, lockers and doors
- Cleaning windows, curtains and blinds
- Cleaning outside areas and corridors
- Removing waste according to hospital procedures
- Cleaning fridges, microwaves, cups and utensils
- Operating heavy-duty cleaning equipment
- Reporting maintenance problems to supervisors
- Keeping wards clean and hygienic for patients
- Restocking soap, toilet paper, air fresheners and hygiene supplies
- Collecting food and beverages from the kitchen
- Packing and unpacking linen
- Performing additional duties assigned by supervisors
Salary
Successful applicants will receive:
- Salary: R144 024 per annum
