Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in:
- Public Management
- Public Administration
- Office Administration
- Business Administration
- General Management or equivalent
- Basic understanding of public service policies:
- Batho Pele Principles
- Patients’ Rights Charter
- Occupational Health and Safety
- National Core Standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good customer care and telephone etiquette
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of HIS/SAP systems will be an advantage
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
- Register and classify patients accurately
- File, store, retrieve, and trace patient records
- Capture daily patient statistics
- Book patients and manage missing files
- Maintain downtime registers and track file movement
- Ensure safe storage and disposal of documents in line with the National Archives Act
- Rotate between patient administration sections when required
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor
- Participate in the Performance Management Development System (PMDS)
