The Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM) has opened 299 EPWP internship opportunities for 2026 — and the closing date is almost here.
In partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, this Youth Graduate Programme is designed to create employment, support NEET youth, and promote environmental management in Limpopo.

What Is the EPWP Youth Graduate Programme?
The internships are implemented through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and will run for 4 months.
The programme aims to:
- Create short-term job opportunities
- Support unemployed matriculants and graduates
- Promote environmental sustainability projects
- Reduce youth unemployment in the municipal area
This opportunity is open to young people residing within the FTLM municipal area.
Internship Fields & Stipends
There are two main categories:
Grade 12 (Unemployed Youth)
- Must reside within FTLM
- Minimum daily stipend: R165.00 per day
This category is ideal for matriculants who want workplace exposure in environmental and municipal projects.
Diploma/Degree in Environmental-Related Fields
Must have qualifications in:
- Environmental Sciences
- Agriculture
- Development Studies
- Safety Management
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
- Nature Conservation
- Any other environmental-related qualification
Must reside within FTLM
Minimum daily stipend: R271.04 per day
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be aged 18–35 years
- Be unemployed
- Reside within Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality
- Be committed to careers in:
- Environmental Management
- Waste Management
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Climate & Biodiversity sectors
