Students studying Information Technology now have a new opportunity to gain real workplace experience before completing their qualification. The non-profit Inkazimulo Organisation, in partnership with MICT SETA, has opened applications for a 6-month IT Workplace Experience Programme in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
This opportunity is designed for IT students who still need practical workplace experience to complete their diploma or degree.
Applicants must submit their applications before 15 March 2026.
IT Workplace Experience Programme Overview
The programme provides students with hands-on exposure to real IT operations within a professional environment.
Participants will gain practical knowledge that supports their academic qualification requirements, helping them transition from classroom learning to industry experience.
Location: Durban
Duration: 6 Months
Monthly Stipend: Up to R3 800

Who Should Apply?
This opportunity is aimed specifically at current IT students who require workplace experience to complete their qualification.
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Be studying towards a National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology
- Require workplace/in-service training to complete their qualification
⚠️ Important: Graduates who already have an IT qualification are not eligible.

- Studying Information Technology
- Requiring in-service or workplace training
- Able to work in Durban

- Updated CV
- Certified latest academic record with official stamp
- University In-Service / Workplace Experience letter
- Affidavit confirming you have never participated in a MICT SETA programme
