PepsiCo South Africa is offering an exciting Laboratory Intern (Temporary) opportunity at its Prospecton Snacks Plant in Durban. This role is ideal for graduates or students with a Food Technology qualification who want hands-on experience in a world-class FMCG manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Laboratory Intern, you will support quality and food safety operations on shift, including:
- Conducting routine laboratory and product quality tests
- Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment
- Investigating out-of-specification results and supporting corrective actions
- Performing allergen swabbing and supporting foreign object investigations
- Monitoring HACCP, food safety, and quality standards
- Managing on-hold, rejected, and released stock
- Supporting internal and external audits (ASHA, FSSC 22000, AIB)
- Assisting with trials, commissioning, and new projects
- Preparing reports, auditing documentation, and analysing data
- Participating in production meetings and lab training initiatives

Minimum Requirements
- Matric + Food Technology Diploma (or equivalent tertiary qualification)
- Computer literacy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
