Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources within South Africa’s iconic national parks? The South African National Parks is inviting applications for its CATHSSETA Internship Programme in the Cape Region.
This 12-month internship offers graduates a unique opportunity to develop professional skills while contributing to the management and conservation of South Africa’s natural heritage.
Internship Overview
- Program Duration: 12 months
- Location: Agulhas, Table Mountain, and Tankwa Karoo National Parks, Western Cape
- Monthly Stipend: R6 335.69 – R9 088.37 (depending on qualification NQF level)
- Eligibility: Unemployed South African graduates, aged 18–35
- Qualification Requirements:
- National Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Honours Degree (NQF6/7/8)
- Human Resources Management / Human Capital Management
Please note: SANParks is not obliged to offer permanent employment upon completion of the internship.
Who Should Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have never participated in a public sector internship or placement
- Hold a relevant qualification from a South African public Higher Education Institution (HEI)
- Be willing to provide their own accommodation and transport if placed outside their area of residence
Preference will be given to Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI) / Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) to support employment equity initiatives.
