Northern Cape Department of Health TVET WIL & Graduate Internships 2026: Programme funded by HWSETA

The Northern Cape Department of Health invites unemployed South African youth to apply for its TVET Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and University Graduate Internship Programme 2026.

This initiative provides structured workplace experience to help young professionals gain practical skills aligned with their qualifications.

Programme Overview

  • Location: Northern Cape Province, South Africa
  • Closing Date: 27 February 2026

Programme Duration:

  • TVET WIL Programme: 18 Months
  • University Graduate Internship: 12 Months

The programme is funded by HWSETA. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend according to HWSETA’s remuneration guidelines, based on qualification level.

About the Programme

Through its Human Resources Development unit, the Department offers valuable workplace exposure to unemployed youth residing in the Northern Cape.

The goal is to bridge the gap between academic study and practical experience, enhancing employability in both the public and private sectors.

  • Letter confirming completion of studies

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be unemployed South African citizens
  • Be residents of the Northern Cape
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Hold one of the listed qualifications

Funding & Conditions

  • Programme funded by HWSETA
  • Successful candidates must sign learner agreements and related documents
  • A formal contract will be signed with the Department of Health
  • Monthly stipend paid according to HWSETA guidelines

  • Completed Work-Based Learning Agreement (WBLA) form
  • Updated CV
  • Certified copies of qualifications
  • Certified copy of ID (not older than 3 months)
  • Affidavit confirming unemployment
  • In-service letter from college (where applicable)
