The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport (GDRT) is inviting unemployed South African graduates to apply for its Internship Programme / In-Service Training for the 2025–2027 period.

The 24-month internship will be based at the Department’s Head Office in Johannesburg, and applications must be submitted online only via the official Gauteng Government jobs portal.

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:
    • Library & Knowledge Management
    • Public Management
    • Governance
    • Information Science
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be unemployed
  • Must not have participated in any previous internship programme

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful intern will be required to:

  • Complete all tasks related to the internship post
  • Provide administrative and research support within the directorate
  • Assist with policy, legislation, research, and knowledge management activities
