The South African National Parks (SANParks) Internship Programme 2026 offers unemployed graduates hands-on conservation experience in one of South Africa’s leading environmental institutions.

Location: Garden Route National Park, Eastern Cape
Stipend: R6 355.69 per month
Duration: 12 months
SANParks does not guarantee permanent employment after completion.
About SANParks
- Manages 20 national parks across 3.7 million hectares
- Mandated by the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act (Act 57 of 2003)
- Focuses on conservation, environmental protection, and tourism
Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed graduates aged 18–35
- Be South African citizens
- Have completed a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (NQF 6–7)
- Graduate from a South African Public HEI
- Not have participated in any previous internship
- Reside in the Eastern Cape Province
Preference given to Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI/HDSA)
