The University of the Free State invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for its 2026 Internship Programme.
This 12-month internship offers practical exposure in Assessment and Blended Learning Innovation Support Services, giving interns experience in e-learning systems, assessment development, and academic support.
Successful interns will receive a monthly stipend of R9,497.50, making it an excellent launchpad for careers in education technology and teaching support.
Position Details
- Position: Intern – Technology in Teaching and Learning (Assessment & Blended Learning Innovation Support)
- Duration: 12 months
- Stipend: R9,497.50 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing e-assessment activities and question banks
- Support assessment scheduling on UFS online platforms
- Develop training materials for objective assessments
- Train students and academic staff on assessment tools
- Collect, analyse data, and produce reports
- Provide support for users of online learning and assessment systems
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or B-Tech (NQF Level 7)
- Have no prior formal work experience
- Not be participating in another internship or learnership
- Be available for the full 12-month period
- Be willing to sign an internship/learnership agreement
Advantageous
- Postgraduate qualification
- Experience as a Tutor, Student Assistant, or Teaching Assistant
- Familiarity with Learning Management or Assessment Systems
