About the Role
The Skills Development and Training Facilitator is responsible for coordinating institutional training initiatives, skills development programmes, and compliance with relevant education, training, and development legislation.
The role supports organisational performance by ensuring that training needs, sector skills plans, and institutional development objectives are effectively aligned and implemented.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Appropriate three-year National Diploma in Human Resource Management, with Training and Development as a subject
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in a Training and Development Directorate
- Education, Training and Development Practitioner (ETDP) Certificate or recognised Training / Skills Development Certificate
- Basic qualification accredited by a SETA
- Valid driver’s licence

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating institutional training needs analysis and ABET programmes
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant prescripts and legislative requirements
- Integrating Sector Skills Plans into organisational skills plans
- Developing unit standards and contributing to unit policies
- Identifying training needs and developing training programmes
- Conducting induction and orientation programmes for new employees
- Facilitating performance management and development processes (PMDS)
- Coordinating induction and onboarding processes
- Collating monthly Health Information System (HIS), skills development, and training data
- Conducting monthly audits within the unit
- Performing additional duties as delegated by management
